Kennedy graduated from Purdue University in 2024 after majoring in chemistry and physics and is now pursuing a PhD in MCP in the Huttenhain and Thiam Labs. Following her undergraduate research, which focused primarily on GPCR effector proteins and their structural and functional characterization, she became increasingly interested in membrane receptors and how external cues are translated into physiological responses. Kennedy is excited to use powerful and innovative proteomic techniques to explore complex signaling events in extraordinary cellular responses in the innate immune system. Beyond research, Kennedy enjoys trying new food, reading outside, and going on weekend adventures!
